Waihi beach on the east coast of
the North Island of NZ is a great
place to camp.
I am often up at sunrise to walk sand
smoothed by the night tide.
This morning I took the microphones and roamed into the territory of some nesting gulls. At least I assume it was their nesting area, I couldn’t see any sign of nests but they sure took exception to my presence.
Gull Attack
I fended them off with the mics and waited for the attack to subside. They persisted so I continued down the beach while the sun lifted slowly above the Pacific.
